When you arrive at your villa on St. John, we don’t want you to arrive after a long journey to find nothing to eat or drink, so here’s our basic grocery shopping list for your convenience and guidance. We will be glad to shop for you just prior to your arrival and deliver your food and drinks to your villa the day you arrive!  After you get settled and have had a chance to unwind, rest and unpack, you can always go back to the grocery store later to buy more – it can certainly be an interesting experience here!  BE SURE TO GIVE US AT LEAST TWO WEEKS BEFORE YOUR ARRIVAL TO SHOP, SO GET YOUR LIST IN TO US AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE!

Our supermarkets here have most basic American brands - be as specific as you can be as far as brand, flavor, size, etc. BUT we can only buy what is currently available here for you – our stores are not as widely stocked as those to which you’re accustomed in the U.S.  If you need special dietary items or if you love gourmet coffee or other specialty items, etc., it is far better to bring these items with you because you may not find them here.  You may also fly to the U.S. Virgin Islands with a sealed cooler full of frozen meats, etc. if you wish, but your cooler must be cooled with freezer packs only – dry ice is not allowed on airlines.

When you arrive at your villa, your ordered groceries and beverages will be waiting for you, and the itemized bill will be on the kitchen counter for your review – PAYMENT WILL NEED TO BE IN CASH OR TRAVELER’S CHECKS ONLY – NO CREDIT CARDS ARE ACCEPTED.  Charges are as follows: A $50.00 minimum fee or 20% (whichever is greater) will be added to the total.  Copies of the receipts will be provided. Additionally, EWC will charge a $50.00 delivery and stowing fee regardless of the provisioning amount.  If EWC is unable to arrange to meet you upon arrival, EWC will make arrangements for payment pick-up at no added charge to you.
